Your start at BUSSLIST

Your onboarding process may vary depending on the position and individual situation and is divided into several phases. Your onboarding is designed to ensure a smooth start and to optimally introduce you to your role at BUSS.

Pre-Onboarding: You will receive initial information even before your start with us (start time, contact person, initial tasks).

Welcome phase (Day 1 to Week 1): On your first day of work, your supervisor will welcome you, show you everything important at the location during a tour, and you will receive your access as well as your IT equipment. Additionally, you will get an introduction to our corporate culture, values, and structures, as well as an initial safety briefing. You can settle in during a relaxed lunch with your supervisor and the team.

In week 1, you will meet your buddy, who will support you with questions and help you ease into your role. As you progress, you will get to know initial processes and tools using an onboarding checklist.

Onboarding phase (Month 1 to 3): You are gradually developing a routine. You receive training, workshops, and materials to build your knowledge. You are introduced to initial projects and tasks with clear objectives. And of course, you regularly receive feedback and check-in conversations with your supervisor as well as your buddy.

Integration and Completion Phase (Month 3 to 6): The goal is for you to take on independent tasks and projects and to deepen collaboration with colleagues and other departments. At the end of your probation period, you will discuss your goals and potential for further development with your supervisor.

Your probation period is considered the regular onboarding phase. But even after the probation period, the learning process continues, and to be honest, it never stops. ;-)
It is important to us that you feel integrated quickly, acquire the necessary knowledge swiftly, and get to know our corporate culture. Therefore, we work in many areas with a buddy system to support new employees or our trainees through experienced colleagues. Your buddy will familiarize you with the internal workflows, systems, and processes, assist you with your first steps at work, and answer your questions.
There is no strict dress code here – we want you to feel comfortable. Whether casual, classic, or individual – just wear what suits you and what makes you feel the most at ease.

Your development at BUSSLIST

We place great value on the employee as an individual. We understand that we are all different and that needs and preferences vary. Therefore, it is important to us that development and training measures are tailored to your individual needs, goals, skills, and potentials.

Personalized development means individual goal setting, customized learning formats, consideration of your career phase and circumstances, work-life integration, as well as feedback and reflection. Your supervisor is your first point of contact to support you on your journey.

Imagine this: A television documentary showcases the incredible performance of modern underwater cables, enabling secure and independent network operations across oceans or on islands. It becomes clear to you: Your ideas and technical know-how have made this project a reality.

With the process machines from BUSSLIST, which come to life through your work, we create innovative solutions that change the world. You are not just part of it – you are a crucial part of it.

Many of our employees have customer contacts. Through trade fair visits or conferences, they regularly stay up to date and in touch with our (potential) customers.
We are an SME with a strong global network. Our customers are spread all over the world, from Brazil to Tierra del Fuego, India, or Japan. Depending on the area of application and expertise, occasional or frequent travel may be required. The extent of your travels will be discussed with you during the interview.

Temporary or permanent international transfers to one of our locations (Switzerland, USA, Japan, China) are also possible, should you wish to do so.

Sure! We firmly believe that diversity is a source of strength and innovation. At BUSSLIST, we strive to create a work environment characterized by mutual respect, fairness, and equal opportunity. Here you can find more information about our values, our mission, and our vision.
