Where we come from
BUSSLIST Group did not emerge from a merger of equals looking for scale. It grew from something older — a shared belief that demanding materials need process machines that truly understand them.
In 1945, Heinz List invented the Ko-Kneader at BUSS, a process machine for materials that couldn't be processed any other way. He went on to found LIST and developed the KneaderReactor for high-viscosity processes. Paul Berger asked a different question. Starting in 1972, he built cooling systems for viscous materials — precise, purpose-built, independent. His company, BBA, became part of LIST in 2016.
In 2025, Jakob Müller Holding AG united all three technologies under one owner. In 2026, BUSSLIST Group.

Heinz List was a pioneer of modern industrial processing technology. His research in the field of continuous kneading led to the development of the Co-Kneader, which continues to be used today. When he founded the company, he envisioned an organization that would continue to contribute to the advancements that he made. His innovations earned Heinz List an induction into the Polymer Processing Hall of Fame at the University of Akron, OH, USA and a place in the gallery of celebrities of the Stuttgart University, Germany
