Sustainability is embedded in our customers’ processes.

BUSSLIST Group manufactures process machines. We are not a consumer goods manufacturer, and so we cannot communicate sustainability in the same way that such companies would. Our contribution is more specific and, in many ways, has a greater impact.

The process machines we develop determine how efficiently materials are produced, how much energy a process consumes, how much waste it generates, and whether a solvent-intensive process can be replaced by a cleaner alternative. When we improve a process, the effect scales with every production run, every shift, every year the machine is in operation. That is where our responsibility lies. And that is where we take it seriously.

Process efficiency— less energy, less waste, less solvents.

A process machine precisely designed for its intended purpose consumes less energy than a machine that compensates for a poor fit with brute force. It generates less material stress, less waste, and fewer defective batches.

The LIST KneaderReactor goes a step further: It can completely replace solvent-intensive processes and enables high-viscosity reactions in a concentrated phase—cleaner, with a noticeably smaller environmental footprint at the process level.

For our customers, this means more than just improved cost-effectiveness. It means processes that are easier to obtain permits for, easier to operate, and built to meet stricter environmental regulations.

Durability— The most sustainable machine is the one that doesn’t need to be replaced.

A BUSSLIST process machine is designed to operate for decades. This is not a marketing promise: it is a design principle, backed by after-sales support, modernization programs, and a supply of spare parts throughout the machine’s entire service life.

A machine that runs reliably for thirty years has a fundamentally different environmental footprint than one that is replaced every ten years. Durability is our most underrated contribution to sustainability.

Materials of the Future— Tomorrow’s processes are running on our machines today.

The materials that will shape the coming decades of industrial production—bio-based fibers, recycled polymers, next-generation battery compounds—all require process technologies capable of achieving what conventional machines cannot.

The LIST KneaderReactor is a key technology for Lyocell 2.0, the next generation of bio-based cellulose fibers produced without harmful solvents.

The BUSS co-kneader is the established solution for anode pastes and battery electrode compounds—critical processes in the energy transition.

These are not future applications. They are running today, in production, on BUSSLIST machines.

Our customers’ processes

How we run our company.

LIST Technology operates a certified environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001:2015—covering product development, production processes, and operational activities. Our goal is to integrate environmental responsibility not merely as a compliance exercise, but as an integral part of how we work every day.

Extending this standard to the entire BUSSLIST Group is a goal we are actively working toward. We will communicate progress once it has been achieved, not before.
